If you are not really the adventurous puzzle-solving type, it is advised to know how the quests are completed before going to undertake them. Many times, items are needed from different levels, so it's really a waste of stamina to turn around and find e.g. a Wood Axe. The Auction House is a solution to many of your quest problems. Even expensive quest items might be cheap considering the stamina it would take you to obtain them.
